‘Fault Line’ scoops award at BFI London’s Short filmfest

The BFI London Film Festival awards Iran’s short ‘Fault Line’.

The 63rd edition of the BFI London Film Festival in the UK has awarded Iran’s short ‘Fault Line’ directed by Soheil Amir-Sharifi.

‘Fault Line’ took home BFI London’s Short Film Award on Saturday.

“Nahal breaks her arm in a fight at school. A man claims she hit someone while riding a motorcycle and fled the scene because she didn't have a permit. Nahal claims the CCTV will show that she hurt her arm at school,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The short film is starring Baran Ehsaee, Khorshid Cheraqipour, Mahour Mirzanejad and Siamak Ehsaee.

The 63rd edition of the BFI London Film Festival took place on October 2-13, 2019.

Iranian documentary ‘Coup 53’ by Taqi Amirani and ‘The Warden’ by Nima Javidi were also screened at this year’s edition of the BFI.
